Abstract

This classroom action research (CAR) aims to find out how corrective feedback strategies can improve students' speaking skills. The subjects of this research were 25 class XI students of SMAN 1 Pengkadan in the 2023/2024 academic year. Researcher use two types of data analysis in research, namely qualitative data and quantitative data. The findings of this research are that qualitative data was obtained from observation sheets and field notes during the classroom learning process, while quantitative data was obtained using student speaking tests. In this research there was cycle I and cycle II, each cycle consisting of 2 meetings. The
average student speaking test result in cycle I was 64 which was then continued to cycle II resulting in an increase in the average student speaking test result to 72. So it can be
concluded that the feedback strategy can improve students' speaking skills.
