Abstract
This classroom action research aimed to investigate how Canva can improve students' reading skills in the Eleventh Grade Students of SMAN 1 Sungai Kakap. This research
uses a classroom action research approach with the technique of data collection observation technique and measurement technique. The tools of data collection used in this research included observation sheets, field notes, and reading tests. Then, the techniques of data analysis in this research use quantitative data analysis and qualitative
data analysis. The subjects of this research were students of class XI (Eleven) IPA 3 of SMAN 1 Sungai Kakap total of 37 students. This research was conducted in two cycles,
two meetings in Cycle I and two meetings in Cycle II. The results of this research indicate that the use of Canva in the learning process provides a significant increase in
improving the reading skills of class XI (Eleven) IPA 3 students. This is evidenced by the difference in the average scores of students in each cycle. Where in Cycle I the
average score of students was 66.96 or 67, while the mean score in Cycle II was obtained 74.46 or 74. It can be concluded that the use of Canva media can improve students' reading skills and can be the right strategic solution to help overcome problems in improving students' reading skills in the process of learning English in class.
