Abstract
The goal of the study was to improve students speaking skill by using Canva to help students in SMA Negeri 2 Sungai Kakap at eleventh grade. The researcher employed the classroom action research methodology. Students from SMA Negeri 2 Sungai Kakap eleventh grade served as the subject of the study. In this work, measuring and observation approaches were employed to obtain data. The researcher employed a scoring rubric with characteristics to assess students
speaking skills. The data from the speaking test of the students was processed using a quantitative approach to the assessment of numerical data, which was then carried out using suitable statistical procedures.
The result of this research show that the students speaking skill of SMA Negeri 2 Sungai Kakap have significantly improved, the students English speaking skills have significantly improved. In the teaching and learning process, it was found that Canva can encourage students to pay attention to the topic and be more focused. The graph of the cycle 1 speaking test (80.66) and cycle 2 speaking test
(86.4) displays the average score of the pupils. This indicates that the speaking abilities of the kids in class XI Mia 1 have improved. Because speaking abilities among students improved significantly between the cycle 1 and cycle 2 speaking tests, students' scores on the cycle 2 speaking test showed a good improvement.
