Abstract

This study aims to provide a description of: 1) . How is the expectation in school and 2). How are the variations of school expectations on learning across. This research was conducted with Qualitative Descriptive approach using
Observation and Interview data collection. Data analysis was carried out by means of Thematic Analysis and Cross-Case Analysis techniques. This research involved 8 schools in West Kaimantan from 6 districts, including Sambas Regency with 2 schools, Melawi Regency with 2 schools, Landak Regency with 1 school, Kubu Raya Regency with 1 school, Sanggau Regency with 1 school, and Pontianak City Regency with 1 school. From The 8 schools include 3 junior high schools and 5 high schools. For 7 schools involving
other researchers as non-participant observations and 1 school from participant observations.
The results showed that there were differences in the argument of teachers in each school regarding Expectation in School which differed from the responses of each teacher in several locations. Existence of learning media: online and
offline electronic media, makeshift media, and school facilities. Various forms of application of their assessment of the level of ability of students which they consider to be effective in learning both from the effectiveness of communication and the development of learning abilities in the classroom. With this research, it is hoped that it can provide an overview of the implementation of the learning process with High Expectations which is an inspiration in other schools, and what challenges teachers face in cultivating student learning skills, and the potential for improving student grade expectations that can be made in the future.
