Abstract

The purpose of this research to is find out how the students‟ ability in writing comprehension and the factors of students‟ difficulties in writing on Tenth Grade Students‟ of Sanggar Kegiatan Belajar (SKB). The main subject of this research were all students‟ of Tenth Grade (SKB) Sanggar Kegiatan Belajar Pontianak with a total of 26 students‟. In this researcher using a qualitative descriptive method, this research used techniques analyzed the data by drawing data, displaying data, and drawing conclusions.The results of this research, were that Tenth Grade Sanggar Kegiatan Belajar had difficulty writing,
although the level of difficulty varied, from the results obtained in the test and questionnaire results. The most common problem found were grammar and form, there were 72% of students difficulty with grammar and 61% of students having difficulty in form. Through this research, Students must need to learn more and be able to make the mistakes and difficulties they experience as form of self�motivation so that they can continue to practice writing properly and correctly, expecially in learning to writing English. The researcher hopes that this research can be useful for readers who want to know the difficulties of writing, and this research can be used as an additional reference for other researchers who have the same topic in the future.
