Abstract

This study aims to determine the Perception of EFL Students in Learning Speaking skills at SMA Negeri 01 mempawah Hulu. The question that was answered in this research namely: How is Perception of EFL Students in Learning Speaking Skill of the eleventh-grade students of SMAN 1 Mempawah Hulu.
Contrary to this, the facts on the ground are very different there are students who consider English as a fun subject, and there are some who find this language a scary subject the researcher focused on how students’ perception at SMA Negeri 01 Mempawah Hulu, towards perception EFL Students in Learning Speaking skills. The purpose of this research is to determine the Perception of EFL Students in Learning Speaking skills at SMA Negeri 01 mempawah Hulu.
This research was a single descriptive study conducted by using a descriptive qualitative approach involving fifteen students at SMA Negeri 01 Mempawah Hulu. The technique of data collection used in this research was direct communication in the form of semi-structured-interview and the tool was interview guidance. The data analysis used in this research was descriptive qualitative, used thematic analysis. The theoretical of this research, the researcher
used four theoretical all of which discuss Perception of EFL Students in Learning Speaking skills.
The results of this study are in order to find out how the perception of students at SMA Negeri 01 Mempawah Hulu towards Perception of EFL Students in Learning Speaking Skill. The perception of the eleventh graders at SMA Negeri
01 Mempawah Hulu based on what the researchers found leads to a positive side, English for students at this school for most students is a very vital language.
