This research aimed to find out the lesson planning types applied by
English teachers of SMA Islam Hisada. The research implemented a descriptive
research design in the qualitative method. 2 teachers participated to collect
primary data. The proposed research applied indirect communication technique
where utilized such tool as an online questionnaire (open-ended) which consist of
6 questions. The questionnaire items were created by GOAMA Analysis. This
study used the technique of analyzing the qualitative data from Ary, et al. (2010:
481).
The research finding that there were six findings in this study by using
GOAMA. The first finding indicated that each teacher had a different type when
the teachers make lesson planning. The second finding is the teachers used the
appropriate type of lesson plan when teachers teach to achieve the learning goals.
The third finding is the teachers have big hopes that the students can practice and
like English when the teachers teach with the appropriate type of lesson plan. The
fourth finding is the students had different characteristics in understanding and
listening to the teachers' explanations. The fifth finding is digital media can helps
teachers in the teaching process, so the teachers should choose appropriate media
digital in making a lesson plan. The last finding is the teacher can take an
assessment according to the lesson plan that the teachers made, including the
assessment such as practice, written test, oral communication and question�answer.
