Abstract

Amrullah, 520900097. IMPROVING STUDENTS’ VOCABULARY
MASTERY BY USING AUTHENTIC MATERIALS ( A Classroom
Action Research To the Tenth Grade Students of MA (Madrasah
Aliyah) Mandor in Academic Year 2015/2016 ). Thesis, the first
supervisior: DR. Ardi Marwan, M.Ed, and the Second Supervisor:
Diah Astriyanti, M.Pd.

This research were aimed describing the implementation of
authentic materials to improve the students‟ vocabulary achievement
and describing the students‟ response on authentic materials in teaching
vocabulary. This research was implemented in MA (Madrasah Aliyah)
Mandor in academic year 2015/2016 at the first grade, using classroom
action research. The researcher took 26 students as the subject of the
research.
The researcher got the data from the students‟ answer on written
test and also from field note and observation checklist which filled by
the collaborator. The researcher gave the test three times in three
cycles. The research findings showed that learning by using authentic
materials, could improve the students‟ vocabulary. It could be seen in
the data observation checklist field note which showed by the students‟
attitude
