Abstract

This research aims to find out what are the factors that inhibit students from learning English and what are the most dominant factors inhibiting students from learning English. This research is descriptive research. The data collection
technique in this research is a direct communication technique using an interview data collection tool, and the researcher uses interviews as a data collection tool.
Researchers explain the data obtained and collected through interviews. The inhibiting factors for students learning English are internal and external factors. The most dominant factor inhibiting students from learning English is external factors, namely the researcher's identification of the results of the interviews, namely the lack of facilities and infrastructure, which resulted in students not understanding the learning material provided by the teacher. Facilities
and infrastructure are necessary in the teaching and learning process so that learning objectives can be achieved smoothly, regularly, effectively, and efficiently. Facilities and infrastructure can also be a support to make it easier for teachers and students to carry out a learning process. Facilities and infrastructure are important in improving the quality of student learning. The lack of facilities and infrastructure here, such as language labs, IT, and the internet, is what causes students to be inhibited from learning English.
