Abstract
Speaking skill is the most important skill to aquire foreign or second language learning. Speaking is a curcial part of language learning and teaching. This language skill is considered one of the most productive abilities for
interaction among people.This research was done through Classroom Action Researh design. The pasrticipants of this research were 35 students of the second grade students of SMP Negeri Sungai Kakap. The technique used for collecting
data were observation and measurement. The tools of collecting data were observation checklist, field note and speaking test. Analyze the data used qualitative data and quantitative data.
The meaningful situation were established among the students during the teaching and leaning process, were the students become more active and reduced unconfident in delivering their idea also. Teaching students Using Comic Strips
had improve students speaking skill. It is showed by the students involvement in speaking activity which was observed by observation checklist and field note.The result that the Using Comic Strips had a significant impact to improve the students speaking skill. The students could comprehend or understand the meaning and the aim correctly of a word from implementing Using Comic Strips.
