Abstract

The purpose of this research to find out how the use of retelling fables can
improve students in monologue at the ninth grade students of MTs Nahdatul Athfal in the
academic year of 2015/2016.
Techniques of data collection were observation and measurement. Then, tools for
collecting the data were observation checklist table, field note, and speaking test. The
form of this research was classroom action research. The participants of this research
were consisted of 28 students of the ninth grade in MTs Nahdatul Athfal
