This study aim to Analaysis The Factor Causing Student’s Reluctance in Participating English Online Class by eleven grade of SMA Bina Utama Pontianak, West Kalimantan. Since the spread of COVID-19, students had learned through online learned platforms where it is hoped that students could find out and receive various information, analyzed media, and apply technology effectively. This research employs a qualitative descriptive research design. descriptive research is research that seeks to describe current problem solving based on data, by presenting, analyzing and interpreting it.
To obtain data researcher used direct method, namely questionnaire analysis of the data obtained by questionnaire shows that there is 75 % strongly agree with the intrinsic factor to made the student reluctance to join online class and 25% agree, 0 for the strongly disagree and disagree, and 50 % strongly agree with the ekstrinsic factor to made the student reluctance to join online class and 50% agree, 0 for the strongly disagree and disagree.
Therefore the relationship about two factor intrinsic and ekstrinsic has a positive result of 0.266 which is in the correlation table is include in the low relationship, low relationship between factor instrinsic and factor ekstrinsic means that two variable are not significant enough to influences one another, therefore student get the intrinsic factor in the reluctance participating in english online class may not get the factor ekstrinsic in the reluctance participating in english online class or vice versa.
