Abstract
This study has the background of the study of how is the implementation of a translated traditional song in teaching English to the students of the English village of Simpang Kasturi and what is the effect of students after using translated traditional songs to teaching students of English village of Simpang Kasturi. The purpose of this research is to find out how is the implementation of a translated
traditional song in teaching English to the students of the English village of Simpang Kasturi and to find out the effect of students after using translated traditional songs to teaching students in the English village of Simpang Kasturi
This study is a case study design. The data sources used field notes and student worksheets to collect the data. Purposeful sampling was used in this study to answer the research question using defined criteria. The method used in this research for analyzing data is thematic analysis.
Teaching is carried out using a translated traditional song as teaching media which consists of 4 stages: building knowledge of the field, modeling, joint construction, and independent construction. This is qualitative research aimed at using translated Traditional Song To Teaching Students of English Village of Simpang Kasturi 2021/2022, consisting of thirty participants used purposefully as a technique to choose the participants. The data collection used participant observation, Field notes, and students' document text. This research conducted eight meetings in one month. The data analysis used genre analysis and used triangulated to validate the data. The finding in this research describes translated traditional song to teach students of Simpang Kasturi as a media that is used in teaching students. So, teaching with the implementation of Translated traditional
song can have a good effect. This matter has proven can effectively ensure students' learning success. Besides that, to determine the extent of students' understanding, using Translated traditional song invited the students to remember
that learning resources can come from anywhere, even from traditional songs, without forgetting the customs and culture in traditional songs
