Abstract
This a case study research aimed to discover the English village practices at Temajuk village in 2020/2021. This study aimed to find out what approaches are used in the practice of learning English in the English village of Temajuk village. The subjects of this study were active students of class IV and V English in Temajuk village and tutor who taught in English village at Temajuk village.
Field notes and interviews were used for data collection. The results of data analysis show that in the practice of learning English, a genre-based approach is used as an approach of learning English practice, which helps improve students' understanding in the process of learning English. The genre-based approach in the learning process also makes it easier for students to practice English. Using a
genre-based approach in the process of learning English helps teachers to build classes in an active learning process.
